Live Response: student devices must be able to open https://classplaybook.com/join and connect to the Supabase domain above. ClassPlaybook uses HTTPS; schools should not replace its certificate with an untrusted inspection certificate.
Brain Breaks student devices: allow https://classplaybook.com/draw for Draw & Guess and https://classplaybook.com/vote for This or That. Students can type the address and room code or scan the teacher’s QR code. Both use HTTPS connections to the Supabase host listed above; no student ClassPlaybook account is required.
Draw & Guess uses a first name or nickname and a private browser-session token. Only the selected artist receives the secret prompt and can submit drawings. The current round’s drawing is temporarily stored for synchronization; ending the room clears its drawing and participants. Rooms expire after two hours. Live room data is not part of the public Brain Breaks information page or sitemap.
Google Classroom roster access
This optional setup is only needed when teachers want to copy student names from Google Classroom into a ClassPlaybook roster. A Google Workspace administrator may need to enable Classroom and approve ClassPlaybook for the teacher's staff organizational unit.
District administrator checklist
- Confirm Google Classroom is enabled for the teacher's organizational unit.
- In Google Admin, open Security → Access and data control → API controls → Manage third-party app access.
- Find and approve ClassPlaybook using this OAuth client ID:778532810953-l8s3rbbmn1bd9dsui48lm2mhd339jei3.apps.googleusercontent.com
- Allow the two read-only Classroom permissions below, then have the teacher retry the import.
What ClassPlaybook can access
- Does not sell or rent teacher, classroom, or student information.
- Does not use classroom information for targeted advertising or advertising profiles.
- Lists the classes taught by the authorized teacher.
- Reads student display names from the class the teacher selects.
- Uses a temporary access token only during the import.
- Cannot change assignments, grades, courses, or Google Classroom rosters.
- Does not store the Google access token in classroom data or the ClassPlaybook database.
