Purpose and ownership
Schools and teachers control the classroom information they choose to place in ClassPlaybook. ClassPlaybook uses that information only to provide, secure, support, and maintain the requested educational service. It is not sold and is not used for targeted advertising.
Access boundaries
- Every teacher workspace is protected by account authentication and database row-level access rules.
- Student join codes open only the teacher-launched activity, not the teacher workspace.
- Public activity lookup does not return a class roster or a list of students who responded.
- Roster membership is checked privately when a teacher requires it.
- Billing information is handled by Stripe and is not stored in classroom records.
Retention schedule
- Live Response: join access expires after 12 hours; closed activities and responses are deleted after a 90-day recovery period.
- Draw & Guess: temporary room, participant, and drawing state expires after two hours.
- This or That: temporary voting rooms and votes expire after four hours.
- Teacher workspace: layouts, lesson content, rosters, and settings remain until deleted by the teacher or through an account deletion request.
- Billing and legal records: retained as required for payment, tax, fraud-prevention, and legal obligations.
Teacher and school controls
Teachers can export or delete Live Response records by student, delete entire activities, and clear the signed-in account’s offline copy from a shared device. Schools may request access, correction, export, or deletion by emailing admin@classplaybook.com.
Service providers
- Netlify: website delivery and hosting.
- Supabase: authentication, database, storage, and realtime connections.
- Stripe: subscriptions, invoices, and payment processing.
- Email delivery provider: transactional account and support email.
- Google, Canva, YouTube, and Spotify: optional teacher-directed integrations only when selected.
Providers receive only the information needed for their service and operate under their own security and privacy commitments.
School agreements
Schools or districts that need a data-protection agreement, security review, accessibility information, purchasing documentation, or an implementation conversation may contact admin@classplaybook.com. We will provide current written information rather than asking districts to rely on marketing claims.
