Our no-sale promise
ClassPlaybook does not sell or rent personal information, teacher content, classroom data, or student data. We do not use classroom information for targeted advertising, advertising profiles, or cross-context behavioral advertising.
Information we process
ClassPlaybook may process teacher account information, subscription status, saved classroom layouts and settings, teacher-entered roster information, lesson content, and support communications. Teacher-launched student activities may process a room code, a participant name or classroom identifier, submitted answers or drawings, scores, and the instructional content needed to run the activity.
Student access
ClassPlaybook does not provide a general student account or dashboard. Students may join teacher-launched Live Response, This or That voting, and Draw & Guess sessions using a short-lived room code or link. A public join lookup does not publish the teacher’s roster or the names of students who already responded. Students do not receive access to teacher workspaces, full rosters, billing, or account controls.
How information is used
- Provide, secure, and maintain ClassPlaybook features.
- Save teacher-requested classroom information and settings.
- Operate teacher-launched activities and show results to the teacher.
- Process subscriptions, answer support requests, and improve reliability.
- Comply with legal obligations and prevent misuse.
Retention
Live Response join access expires after 12 hours. Closed Live Response activity records and responses are retained for a 90-day teacher recovery period and then automatically deleted. Temporary Draw & Guess rooms expire after two hours, and This or That voting rooms expire after four hours. Teacher workspaces, rosters, lesson content, and layouts remain until the teacher deletes them or requests account deletion so that ordinary subscription or trial changes do not erase classroom work.
Teacher and school controls
Teachers can export or permanently delete a student’s Live Response submissions from Playbook without deleting the class roster or other students. Teachers may delete an entire activity and its responses. On a shared computer, “Sign out & clear this device” removes that account’s offline workspace copy after pending changes finish syncing. Schools may contact us for access, correction, export, or deletion requests.
Privacy-safe website measurement
ClassPlaybook records a limited set of signup-funnel events in its private database so we can understand whether the landing page, guided demo, and signup flow work. These records use a randomly generated browser identifier, the page path, a general device category, and the event type. They do not include names, email addresses, passwords, full user-agent strings, classroom content, or student responses, and they are not sold or used for advertising.
Optional integrations and AI tools
Teachers decide whether to use optional services such as Google Classroom, Canva, Google Slides, YouTube, or Spotify. ClassPlaybook requests only the access needed for the selected feature. Instructional question-generation providers receive the selected standard and instructional prompt needed to create material; ClassPlaybook does not intentionally send private rosters, birthdays, seating charts, saved classroom layouts, or student responses to AI providers.
Service providers
ClassPlaybook uses service providers for hosting, authentication, database storage, payments, email delivery, and teacher-requested integrations. Information is provided only as needed to operate the requested feature, secure the platform, process payment, or provide support. Your choices
Teachers and schools should enter only information needed for instructional use and follow their local policies when using student names or responses. Teachers may use available controls or contact us to request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of information.
