MOBILE APP PRIVACY

ClassPlaybook Teacher Remote privacy.

What the iPhone, iPad, and Android app needs to control your classroom screen.

Effective October 11, 2026

How the app works

ClassPlaybook Teacher Remote uses your existing ClassPlaybook account to find active classroom screens signed in to that same account. The app processes your account identifier, active remote-session details, and the controls you choose to send, such as slide, timer, document, and focus commands. It does not offer student accounts.

Live screen viewing

If you choose the live Smart Board view, the app shows the current classroom screen and transmits your selected touch or annotation actions to that session. Classroom content, including information visible on the screen, may appear on the phone while this feature is open. The mobile app does not create a separate saved recording of the live view. Protect your device with a passcode and follow your school’s rules for displaying student information.

Sign-in and device storage

Your sign-in session is kept on the device so you can stay signed in. You can sign out inside the app. The app uses encrypted network connections to communicate with ClassPlaybook and its service providers. It does not request contacts or location access, and it does not include an advertising SDK. We do not sell or rent teacher or student information or use it for targeted advertising.

Providers, retention, and choices

Supabase provides account authentication, database access, and realtime remote messaging. The live view loads ClassPlaybook’s web experience inside the app. Remote sessions are temporary; your saved classroom work follows the retention choices in the main ClassPlaybook Privacy Policy and Data Protection page. You can request account deletion or contact admin@classplaybook.com with a privacy question.
